Training And Professional Development

NavisEd online training bridges the gap between informal job shadow learning and the consistent language and practices we need to effectively support prospective students and their families. Rather than relying on individual interpretation or inherited habits, the training establishes shared standards for how teams communicate with prospective students in high impact moments across recruitment and admissions.

This approach intentionally develops a servant leadership mindset. Teams are trained to lead through listening, clarity, and accountability, helping prospective students make informed decisions while honoring institutional standards and student goals.

Staff learn how to guide conversations with purpose, confidence, and care, ensuring students feel supported without removing responsibility or direction. Courses are grounded in real world scenarios staff recognize immediately and can apply directly in live student interactions.

NavisEd courses are practical and engaging, featuring interactive models, flashcards, and quizzes. Content can be read aloud to support individual learning preferences and institutional documentation needs. Each course includes printable and shareable electronic completion certificates to support tracking and accountability. This is valuable for Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and re-accreditation audits.

By bridging informal training with consistent practice and a servant leadership approach, NavisEd helps institutions guide prospective students toward better fit pathways. The result is stronger persistence, improved retention, and more predictable, sustainable enrollment outcomes.

Why the Name NavisEd?

The name NavisEd comes from the Latin word Navis, meaning ship, combined with Ed to reflect the work of education. In other words, steering the ship of education.

Meaningful change in higher education happens through disciplined, consistent decisions applied over time. NavisEd exists to support that work. Enrollment, admissions, and outreach teams influence institutional direction every day through their practices and decisions. NavisEd provides training and professional development that helps those teams operate with clarity, alignment, and accountability so institutions remain steady, mission aligned, and resilient.
